Bend it like...Bend
So here we are, living the high life in Bend Oregon. Just watched the final World Cup (viva la France, though it didn't help) at the Deschutes Brewery. We toodled around and saw a lot of country we hadn't been before and now know why (wind and sand, rain and meth labs to say the least), so we are taking a rest in Bend, then on to the Umpqua hotspring for a little soak and then on to the Gold Beach and the big trees in northern California.

THe G&D was a mad house but alot of fun. The live feed went out at the 3rd penalty kick and i thought the mob would truly blitz but it flickered and sputtered back on right as italy scored their 4th sooooo....i am happy about the win as you can imagine....can you believe zidane?
packing up and hopefully i'll be moved by next weekend, yea!
hope things weren't too weird out in the wilderness...here's to the wonders of northern cali...think of me when you slide into the orange rimmed umpqua waters...wish i was there

Man ... what a sad loss for France. Zidane may have to hire bodyguards when he returns home!
I lived for a month (well, squatted actually) on some land near the Sun River, which is just outside of Bend. The scenery around there is amazing ... and hey, you are only a few hours from John Day. If you drive through there, picture me at 17 living there ... bet you couldn't imagine me being there now! :)
